Rapid Log: 002

In reality, there is no pressure or obligation to comment on everything I listen to—and that is exactly how the world works. Whatever is bad or below standard ultimately ends up as if it never existed, filtered out by society. No matter the method, it feels impossible to elevate "bad," minor, or underrated products because the market struggles to accept unfamiliar names, preferring to stay nestled in their comfort zones.

The world truly is unfair. No matter the sector, the giants are the ones who win. After all, even when there is a drop in quality in the latest outputs from upper-class artists, listeners can simply return to their favorite tracks and play them until they grow numb. Yes, their lives are so simple, while I am here, having to archive so many tiers of quality just so there is proof that they once existed.

I am trying to write these impressions based on a single listen for this batch, for the sake of time and mental efficiency. Then here is the list:

1. Abiozis - Consciousness (2020)

60/100
Genre: Depressive/post-black metal

Oh, black metal. I am not particularly attached to it. The only thing I noted was the flamboyant wailing on "Delirium Tremens," which might sound different to die-hard fans of the genre. Go ahead and weep alone.

Tracklist:
 1. Ultima Thule
 2. Delirium Tremens
 3. Dekadencia

2. Abomination in Conflict with Mechanical Death - Remember Nothing (2020)

65/100

I was almost comfortable with its sludge style, but nothing truly caught my attention.

Tracklist:
 1. A Cancer
 2. Manifest
 3. Failure
 4. No Law
 5. Siege

3. Abstraction - Wolf (2013)

70/100

Lively enough with the keyboard work, but I need that fast-paced punch!

Tracklist:
 1. Wolf
 2. The Righteous Path
 3. Wolf (Bulgarian version)

4. Abysmal Gaze - Solace in Suffering (2022)

40/100

What? Entertainment? Amidst that torrential downpour of gravelly water? Great—true to its context, absolutely torturous, and seemingly endless. Hurry it up!

Tracklist:
 1. Solace in Suffering
 2. Bleed the Demon
 3. Teeth of the World
 4. The Red Fog

5. Abyss Nöir - The Forest Glance (2020)

70/100

The deep growl vocals and mid-tempo pace in "Cold Sea of Darkness" plus "Passing Owls in a Cloudy Sky" clearly unlock the potential of death/doom metal. Hopefully, there will be a new release ... that leans further in that direction.

Tracklist:
 1. Somber Woods (Around the Lake of Eternal Tears)
 2. The Flesh Meadow
 3. Cold Sea of Darkness
 4. Passing Owls in a Cloudy Sky

### 6. Accident du travail - Live au café Oto (2019)

75/100

My eyelids are growing heavy and the night grows later. All alone. Various synth sounds manipulate the ears with awkward tones, creating an alien, terrifying atmosphere alongside ghostly voices from another realm. Quite tense.

Tracklist:
 1. A1 (aka ouverture all'inglese)
 2. A2 (aka Merlusse)
 3. A3 (aka la Boule)
 4. B1 (aka la Reine)
 5. B2 (aka Lycaon)
 6. B3 (aka Encore)
 7. Bonus-le Noir Pays (Alstadt remaster)

7. Act10n Tyc00n, CAKEGOD & Killa Kev - I'm a Robot (2011)

80/100

I didn't expect to fall for a style of hip-hop that, for some reason, manages to ease my stress. This stands as proof that the hip-hop genre remains alive and well-received because it is just that great. As people say, "So fucking kick ass!"

Tracklist:
 1. Best Boy
 2. Tyranny
 3. Tank Girl (ft. J.B Of Koran Streets)
 4. Cyborgz Vs. Haterz 2 (ft. Blake Zuniga on Bass)

8. Acta - Sous Quel Ordre (2003)

60/100
Genre: experimental/noise

Lost my focus, clearly. Not particularly noisy and, unfortunately, it's a pass. Quite surprised by its release year, though.

Tracklist:
 1. Passe
 2. Comme va le Monde
 3. Sous Quel Ordre

9. Acua di Yolo - MetallicaMaiden (2016)

60/100
Genre: hardcore/thrash metal

Perhaps attempting to be thrash metal, but the recording quality still needs work. It was just for fun, maybe.

Tracklist:
 1. Punta 99
 2. Maserati Sunrise
 3. Clooney @ Dorsia's
 4. Postbeach Spa
 5. Panorama St. Tropez
 6. Putri - Midnight Squash

10. Ad Plenitatem Lunae - Demo 2010 (2010)

70/100
Genre: folk metal

The bagpipes in "La Cjace" remind me of Eluveitie's "Memento." Yes, that instrument easily becomes the main highlight of this demo, which already features a decentstandard recording quality.

Tracklist:
 1. Sante Agnês
 2. La Cjace
 3. La Strie

Breakcore: Subheroine - End. (2025)

77 / 100 End. is Subheroine ’s most immersive and emotionally textured work yet ... Is being a week late enough to make a new release feel cold and stale? Maybe it’s the effect of our fast-paced modern world and the FOMO trend. Who knows. Whatever. Alright then, let’s welcome a new breakcore/drum & bass album (though it runs under 30 minutes) from Subheroine : End. ! End. by SUBHEROINE Released just on November 7 via Japan’s veteran breakcore label, Lost Frog Productions , End . delivers a noticeably more atmospheric vibe this time. So, tagging it as atmospheric drum & bass makes perfect sense, while the “depressive” tag seems to apply only to the cover art. But is that really the case? As always, there are surprises when reviewing music—those unexpected moments that make certain tracks sound more intriguing than expected. The most prominent depressive elements appear in the sampled voice of an anime girl sounding shocked or weakened in...

Electronica/IDM: 4T Thieves - Humanoid (2018)

70 / 100 Humanoid is a compact and tastefully crafted slice of IDM-leaning electronica that blends futuristic elements without overwhelming the listener. I opened my December with an electronica release by 4T Thieves , an EP titled Humanoid , which came out back in February 2018. A brief profile and the project’s track record can be found on RYM or Last.fm , and it’s clear that this act has been active since the 90s, although only arriving on Bandcamp around 2018. Humanoid by 4T Thieves As the name suggests, Humanoid presents a modern environment tinged with a futuristic sci-fi atmosphere, supported by drum work leaning toward IDM and prominent synth/bass that paints the image of a future city gate on “ Elemental .” This is followed by “ Codex ,” which is given a special dose of classic IDM-style glitch effects , and the rest continues into “ The Looking Glass ,” which gives off a nighttime-shadow feel through its slightly dark synth melodies. “Band...

Listening Notes: Playlist Clearance Vol. 1

If a store has a term called clearance sale, then I have a new agenda called playlist clearance . This agenda is meant to clean up releases sitting on my playlist shelves—sometimes for months—without any written listening notes. This matters a lot to me personally, since I prefer listening to music offline rather than streaming, even though platforms like Spotify also offer offline features. I’m already too used to downloading music, even if it means I’ll probably never really get into mainstream artists, which automatically reduces public attention. Hahaha… As for that issue, I do have my own alternative—but for now, I don’t yet have a map to avoid being overwhelmed and confused when diving into streaming platforms just to consume popular releases. Alright, back to cleaning up the playlist. What’s in here this time? Let’s take a look! Abraham – Débris de mondes perdus (2022) 73% Sometimes music can feel like a stab—or a cause of headache—like this fourth album from Sw...
