The weekend is here, yet my head is still trapped in its usual stress, overthinking useless things or matters completely out of my control—just like during the early hours of the morning. With this album, 3 A.M. finds its way back to my ears, and this time, it brings a vibe I can appreciate a bit more. Acoustic elements dominate, but it doesn't lean into a folk style, save for "Cape Race," which feels like a country-tinged interlude. The charm of this album was definitely elevated by the fact that I am currently traveling, making it a highly fitting companion. Had I tried listening to this during other activities, like simply relaxing, I doubt it would have left the same impression.
