I never get tired of complaining about electronic music whenever I write a commentary on it. A lack of references? Or perhaps a limited connection because it's simply not my taste? Could be both.
[Weak Adjective] operates within a synthwave realm that is quite laid-back and atmospheric, making it well-suited for a soundtrack—take "...and Death is the Ocean", for instance. Now, the introductory track, "Ramifications", briefly hints at several themes, though the most prominent one is space travel. This is rendered with a somewhat raw edge, mimicking the roar of rockets and atmospheric friction in "Into the Great Known", "Overview", and "Intermission". Then there are the chemistry-related pieces: "la danse des électrons", "Polymers", and "Organic Chemistry".
Well, the point is, it's not just about the urban lifestyle and the frantic nightlife over there. But then again, who cares?
