I thought Velnopic played instrumental music, but the female vocals provided by Mila Kowalczyk came as a surprise and added some color—at the very least, cutting through the boredom. In fact, when "Mirage Feedback" started playing while I was out walking, it transformed the track into a confidence-boosting soundtrack. Yeah, just like that Patrick Bateman meme.
I had my doubts about this release at first, especially regarding the vocals, which felt a bit like AI generation, but they actually sound quite natural and carry a Clairo-esque vibe, so they are highly likely still original human creations. For the most part, the music isn't upbeat, yet it isn't completely laid-back either—think a calmer version of Gorillaz. Yeah, that's likely the influence of house and darkwave, which you can easily spot in the drum beats. Fans of Billie Eilish, Foals, and Capital Cities might want to give this a shot too.
