Genre: Sludge/stoner metal/rock
Okay, one last album from Sunnata, Zorya.
I don't know what the actual factor is that influences the vibe of this album. However, the second and third spins show the best distribution of solid, signature sludge/stoner metal distortion compared to their other releases. The spiritualistic atmosphere is still there, like in the middle of "Beasts of Prey" and the title track, but it feels just right—not overly drawn out.
This is interesting. If I had written the commentary straight away last night, it probably would have ended up in fourth place, but now I admit it. Zorya stands as Sunnata's best album as a whole, even though by the time this commentary ends, I'll probably just abandon it anyway. Lol.
Tracklist:

2. Zorya
3. Long Gone
4. New Horizon
5. Again and Against
