The Rapid Log returns. Wandering through this vast ocean of music is utterly exhausting. When will I ever feel content with the thousands of favorite songs I already have?

Looking at the artist's photo on the album cover is the most painful part. It's not that Aoi Eir is the most beautiful woman out there, but staring at her only makes me feel more wretched. I want a life partner. As for the music, "Hello Hello Hello" is a typical indie/folk-pop track and serves as the main offering here, pulling double duty as the ending theme song for the anime A Couple of Cuckoos.

Two Brazilian projects collaborate to produce something that managing to clutter the walls of my favorite playlist, despite getting a bit shouty on "Paranoia". So, who is this for? Beats me. Maybe fans of Viva Belgrado might dig it.

If I had to look for something relevant, Abandoncy is the only name that comes to mind, though the noise level here stays within normal boundaries. As for the more famous acts in this style, I'm still in the dark.

One of those artists tagged under "post-metal" that frequently pops up on Bandcamp's best-selling display, but the reality leans heavily into experimental/avant-garde rock/metal territory. Basically, a kindred spirit to Igorrr.

A direct route to the longway of a fucking barren land and the flat wave. Yeah, "This Way to Nowhere". I desperately need more air to breathe on this album... Oh, the piano on "The candle is burnt but the light remains", the harsh noise in "I Must Leave", and the experimental tones of "The Ghost Sonata" snap me back into realizing that this record isn't quite done with me yet.

70 / 100 Humanoid is a compact and tastefully crafted slice of IDM-leaning electronica that blends futuristic elements without overwhelming the listener. I opened my December with an electronica release by 4T Thieves , an EP titled Humanoid , which came out back in February 2018. A brief profile and the project’s track record can be found on RYM or Last.fm , and it’s clear that this act has been active since the 90s, although only arriving on Bandcamp around 2018. The journey of 32 Partials continues with a descent into desert territory in In Degradation (Part I) , accompanied by an experimental/noise backsound presented separately in In Degradation (Part II) . Both were created during the summer and released together at the end of August 2017. Each EP contains three tracks, so I figured it would be more efficient to summarize them in one review instead of two.
