As mentioned in the previous post, A Cerulean State is the cinematic/modern classical project of Alexander Skoog from Stockholm, Sweden. These are Precious Memories was released on February 17, 2017.

The two tracks presented in These are Precious Memories are not merely ambient piano pieces, but lean more toward modern classical while still preserving a cinematic touch. This makes them easy to associate with the soundtrack style of Christoffer Franzen and the cinematic post-rock of his band, Lights & Motion—especially in the first track.

Although the total running time is only around four minutes, this offering from A Cerulean State is more than enough to stir memories in the mind—memories that might soothe, delight, or even sadden the listener. For me, there’s no hesitation in adding both tracks to my favorite playlist.

I opened my December with an electronica release by 4T Thieves , an EP titled Humanoid , which came out back in February 2018. This agenda is meant to clean up releases sitting on my playlist shelves—sometimes for months—without any written listening notes.
